Unusual Accordion from Columbia MFG CO NY
This is a very interesting and colorful accordion. We have very little information on this Piano style accordion other than the inscription which says, Recina and COLUMBIA MFG CO NY.
The owner wrote me the following email:
My husbands parents were accordion teachers and well known throughout the accordion family. Unfortunately they have both passed away. When my mother in law passed she asked that we keep her and her husbands accordion and donate one to AA with all others to be sold. This final accordion we cannot seem to find any information on. Im going to enclose some pictures of it and maybe someone can help us. It still plays
If you can provide details and information on this Recina Accordion, please email me at info@accordionstop.com or leave your comments below.

Ancona Accordion up for Identification
The owner of this Ancona Accordion writes:
I was given an Ancona Accordion by Soprani made in Italy by my step father, whose ancestors came from Italy. I was doing research on the history of the accordian and I found a photo of one exactly like the one I own. The one in the picture is in far worst shape than the one I own. The keys, bellows and leather straps are are in good condition on the one I have. The accordion has a good sound. I am curious about the age of the accordian, and any other information you may be able to give me. The information and photo comes from the following website: http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Ancona-Accordion-by-Soprani-made-in-Italy-9243182.html

Very Interesting Accordion:
Sonola R460 Accordion Identification Requested
The owner provides the following Info:
Hello – I have a Sonola R460 120 bass Italian made 4 voice accordion.
I am trying to find out the age of this accordion & it’s value
There appear to be 2 types of R460 one has a straight line of register switches on the treble side and the other
Is a curved row of 9 register switches with the 10th being a palm switch.
Mine is a straight line of 9 switches with a 10th master palm switch.
It is in mint condition and I payed $650 for it on ebay Australia.
Attached is a photo.
If I could find its value and age, it would be appreciated

This interesting and beautiful accordion was emailed to me by a guy from Quebec. A quick look on eBay does yield some Hohner Accordions with the Morino model name, so perhaps this is an original Venanzio Morino beofore his Hohner days? At any rate, it looks very interesting:
The Owner writes,
Dear Sir,
I would like to get help identifying this accordion and hopefully get an idea of what a collector could pay for it.
It is marked “MORINO Fabt genève”. I saw the name Venanzio Morino (1876 – 1961) who became an important person at Hohner.
It was purchased in an antiques shop near Montreal Quebec.
It is incredibly detailed with tiny little inlaid pieces of hardwood. The bellow is in excellent shape but most buttons are stuck.
I am not a accordeon player yet but would like to know if it is worth investing on.
Thank you so much for your time.
