Can you Identify this Allegro Accordion?

I just received this email from an allegro accordion owner who would like some information on their instrument.

Hello,
I have an accordion that I’m looking for information on. I’ve enclosed some of photos of it and have more if needed in order to narrow down just exactly what it is.
It is an Allegro, made in Italy according to a small plate on the back of it, and has what looks like an alligator or reptile skin covered case. It’s in beautiful condition and judging from the age of the gal I bought it from(she said she played it as a little girl and stopped), it’s probably from the late 40′s or 50′s.
If you can tell me anything about this, anything at all, it would be very much appreciated.
