The owner of this Accordion writes:   Hello.  I came across your web site while trying to identify this accordion on-line.  This accordion has been in my wife’s family for many generations, and she was told it was from the Civil War era.  Supposedly a relative carried this accordion while serving as a cavalry officer for the Confederate Army, and possibly during the Mexican-American War as well.  Any information you could provide from the photos would be greatly appreciated.
