Hohner Accordion Identification
Posted by rbdeli in Accordion Search, tags: Hohner Accordion Age, Hohner Accordion Value
I just was given a Hohner accordion. If I can get it identified I would like to locate an owners manual and other literature for this model to help me learn how to play it and see if it’s worth anything or just a sentimental instrument.
There is a serial number of 196449 stamped on mine.
I have attached a few photos of one I found on-line, identical to the one I have, with four differences.
mine has 80 buttons (5 rows of 16)
Mine has fewer keys (20 white and 14 black)
Mine has a roman numeral III
There is a palm control along the length of the keys. The one in this picture appears to slide up and down where as mine is just a bar that pushes in and I think rotates a number on the top of the accordion above the keys (near your chin).
The one in the attached pic’s is identical in looks in every other way to the one I have.
Can you please help me or direct me to someone who can?
