I received the following email from a reader today:
My Mother passed away several months ago, my father has been gone for 18 years. When clearing out the house, we found two accordions up in the attic, and I cannot find information on either of them. The smaller one has ‘Mozart’ displayed and I can find no reference to any accordions with a ‘Mozart’ brand. Dad had the gift of playing by ear, and could pick up any musical instrument. I, sadly, did not inherit that trait! The second one is larger, bears no brand name but has symbols displayed and the letter ‘M’ or ‘W’. It is very old, so an identifying brand could be faded or rubbed off. If anyone can give me a clue as to their age, value or history I would greatly appreciate it!
